I use Teams on a daily basis to communicate in English, Dutch and French. The biggest problem I am faced with is spellchecking in chat and channel discussions. I saw that the official MS Support website suggests two options to check spelling in multiple languages: Check your spelling in multiple languages - Office Support microsoft.

Option 1 Teams detects the language does not work. It used to work in the past for English and French but since some time now it does not work at least for me. The algorithm was never able to detect Dutch though. Option 2 switching language that use different keyboard layourts is totally impractical. I use one physical keyboard: US. It is totally not feasible to write French on physical US keyboard layout with French set as input method in Windows.

Why not simply let the user decide which spellcheck should be used? The spellcheck language switching used in Edge on windows would be perfect i. Was this discussion helpful?
